About the area
Of museums canals and villages, Coshocton County is distinctive in its essence. The community borrows its name from the Indian term for Ferry or even River crossing. Coshocton is located right where the Tuscarawas and the Walhonding Rivers converge. The Salt Fork State Park which touches the banks of these rivers offers a lot of recreational activities like fishing, boating, swimming, horse riding for visitors. An interesting place to visit is the Roscoe Village where traders and shop keepers dress in costumes as symbolization of their nature of business. The Roscoe Village is actually a restored canal town and also has gondolas and boat trips on the rivers. The Johnson Humrick House museum is dedicated to display the history of the Indian tribes and old settlements cultures of China and Japan in their museum.
