Defiance County is located just outside of Toledo and was built by the popular Mad Anthony Wayne. There is no dearth of nature oriented parks in Ohio and in Defiance county the parks are in abundance. The Kingsbury and Bronson parks include a public swimming pool. The most popular recreational area for residents in and around is the Independence Dam State Park which is located along the Maumee River. If you like bowling and you are an alley-gator who likes to bowl especially in the alleys of the 1960’s then Defiance is the right place. This area in Ohio is very popular for Bowling and you find many alleys here. General Motors Power Train Division calls it home here other than some fiber glass manufacturers, auto parts and farming products.
