Many people would have heard of Xenia for its stormy sessions of Tornadoes and the Shawnee Indians who were one of the first settlers referred to it as the “place of the devil wind”. However the last time a tornado hit was in 2000 after which until today nothing has been heard of. Another popular feature is the railroads. The county is most famous for its aviation history and is home to the world’s largest aviation museum. The National Museum of The United States Air Force features more than 300 aircrafts and missiles as apart of its display. There is also an IMAX Theater inside the museum which shows some popular aircrafts and a movie about the industry in the United States. The E.J. Nutter Center has many a concert going on every year from popular bands like Sting, Faith and Elton John plus local groups. You could catch a game of baseball or hockey with the minor leagues while you are here.
