Wow! Alexandria has less than 100 people, but the court had nearly 800 cases. Either there's a lot of bad people in town, or this place is a speed trap!
Hmm ... Mayor's Court is in with the police dept. instead of in village hall. That doesn't seem fair.
A pleasant staffer named Amber keeps the peace inside the court. She's at the -2001 number.
Commenter notes that there are actually more people - apparently over 500.
About the area
Alexandria Village is a small town but with a variety of services and historical buildings like "Alexandria Museum". The Alexandria Museum is a small house museum in the center of the Village of Alexandria.
More than a thousand feet over the ocean level (before global warming anyway) comes this important community of Licking County, its part of the Columbus metro area. The Alexandria Museum not only has wonderful exhibitions, but its building is actually part of the historic legacy of the pioneers of this area, this house opened its doors back in the 1860's. The education in this village is rich and extensive, served by more than five schools, the residents of Alexandria are proud of the educational management provided by the Northridge Local School District.
Judges
Hon. John Berryhill is the boss.
Type Of Cases Drugs, drunks and speeding on Route 37, apparently.

Old Comments about Alexandria Mayor's Court (hide)

Sep 25 2008 04:45:44: I live in Alexandria--due to a census error (which county and village officials are still fighting), we were shown as pop. 88, when we actually are populated by 500 - 600 people. And our main street is St. Rt. 37...I live on Main St., and believe me, there are LOTS of speeders, drunks, and druggies hauling through this town! Also, the Mayor's Court used to be in the Village Office when the police and village government were crammed into one tiny building...since the Village Offices moved into an old bank building, the Mayor's Court (which is NOT presided over by the Mayor) was left in the Police Dept. to give it more room.
