Buckeye Lake has a very strong German influence since its beginnings and it's also a very conservative community. Back in the middle 1900´s this territory became the home of the first State Park, which opened the minds of many men and women towards conservation. The Great Buckeye Historical Society Museum preserves intact the story of this land, welcoming visitors and residents to learn more about this mystic chapter in history.
