About the area
This community is one of the neighbors of the Muskingum River, got its name after the Island of Malta. Being the home of close to 200 families, this territory preserves the American spirit since its ancestries. The Nation has been blessed with the brave sons of this land, who have served their Country with honor, such as Jeriah McLain Rusk (Governor of Wisconsin), Rufus Dawes (served during the Battle of Gettysburg) and Joseph Bailey (General of the Union Army).
