About the area |
New Philadelphia is a true Amish city and it shows as you enter the city because it is very well kept. It lies in the vicinity of the beautiful Tappan Lake and the Tuscarawas Valley. The Gnadenhutten Village in New Philadelphia is one of the oldest villages which witnessed one of the earliest white settlements and is dated back to the 1700ââ¬â¢s. The Schoenbroen Village is a complete reconstructed village which existed in the 1700ââ¬â¢s and it has been in fact restored to its early looks. The whole village is like a museum which exhibits the various facets of 17th century. Of Villages, Valleys, Lakes and Amish culture the city is worth a visit. |
