The Ohio Canal inspired the name of this municipality in Tuscarawas County, neighbor of Stone Creek and Gnadenhutten. Many artesans and artists have made this territory their home, Alexander Helwig Wyant is a very recognized art lover and landscape painter who was born in this community back in the 1830's. His work was admired in the "Big Apple" and many galleries around the globe. |
