About the area |
Van Wert was once called the Black Swamp city and the people of the city called themselves the cheese makers. That was the major profession here but not anymore. Van Wert has become completely different from what it started out to be in a good way. It's a small town and there ain't that much goin' on, but there is a performing arts center and Fire Museum in the city. The other two attractions are an Art Center and the Historical fair grounds which has some or the other event going on. But once you head out of Van Wert a lot of happening places are close by to the town. |
