We'll chime in on the origin of the name Bowling Green. It's a twist on Anne Boleyn, referring to the discoloration of the skin in the area of the decapitation. C'mon, that's much better than any other story.
About the area
Bowling Green is a city located on the edge of the Great Black Swamp. It is a part of the thick forested area throughout and is famous as a park district. It has plenty of parks and a big wildlife conservation unit. It is during holidays there are bound to be a lot of campers and holidaying crowd in this area. Campers usually hop from one park to another because the whole stretch in Ohio has beautiful parks. The county is expanding its park program and is offering a lot of improved facilities and holiday options for visitors, and to residents of Bowling Green and the surroundings as well.
