Son of the South Saugeen River, this lovely community in the province of Ontario was named for Mountforest in Wexford County, Ireland. Known by many different merged names and aliases such as Maitland Hills, this land right on the Highway 6 has is ruled by the motto "High, Happy, Healthy". Incorporated in the 1870s, this humble and traditional town was the first land welcoming the words and wisdom of Aimee Semple McPherson. |
