About the area |
The early years of Milwaukie were not good ones, marked by the hazard of the powder houses had been built along the railroad, and the miserable conditions of streets and townsite. This aroused the citizens to the needs of incorporation which was accomplished at the beginning of the 20th century.
If you are in this city in late July plan to attend the Milwaukie Daze Festival. This two day event features music at several locations in town, a parade through downtown and is capped off by fireworks at Riverfront park. |
