| About the area |
In 2009 The League of Oregon Cities Award for Excellence was won by the City of Molalla. This was in recognition of the city's efforts to improve the quality of life for people in the community. Molalla has a BMX Track with an announcer's booth, a starting gate and hills and curves to test even the most experienced. It has been the site of local, regional, and state tournaments. In October Molalla holds its annual Apple festival. In addition to enjoying the entertainment, apple pie and homemade ice cream; tours of the historic Dibble and Von der Ahe Houses, site of the festival, are given. And it's all free. |
