Cannon Beach is located along the Pacific Ocean. Visitors will find over nine miles of wide, walkable beach here. On the coast of this town can be found Haystack Rock which is the third largest coastal monolith in the world. It is part of the Oregon Islands National Wildlife Refuge. The area below this tall basalt monolith is referred to as a Marine Garden. The tidepools in the Marine Garden are areas rich with marine life such as seastars, anemones, crabs and algae. For over thirty-five years; The Coaster Theatre, in Cannon Beach, has been the year round site for the entertainment of audiences with stage plays, concerts and art shows. Mid March is the time for the Wine and Culinary featival in Cannon Beach.
