About the area

Coos Bay was founded in the middle of the nineteenth century and was originally named Marshfield. The Coos Art Museum is Oregon’s third oldest Art Museum and is housed in the historic former US Post Office in downtown Coos Bay. It has a permanent Collection of Contemporary Art which it rotates on display throughout the year.
