| About the area |
Just up US 101 from Reedsport, in Gardiner; the Reedsport/Winchester Chamber of Commerce presents its annual Confluence of festivals on the second weekend of February. It is a Wine, Beer, Seafood and Music Festival all rolled into one. Bands from around the area including Washington, perform music for every taste. Speaking of taste; tasting's are offered by Oregon wineries and microbreweries. Travel East of Reedsport on Highway 38 and you will come to a viewing area that is home to approximately 100-150 majestic Roosevelt Elk. The elk roam freely within a 1000 acre preserve. You will be also be delighted by the sight of various waterfowl and an occasional bald eagle in this area.
