Just a short 30 miles South of Burns the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge is a birdwatcher's paradise; with thousands of nesting and migrating birds representative of over 250 species. The Harney County Historical Museum is the place to visit for tourists and residents. Its exhibits provide a picture into the area's old West roots displaying early cowboy photos, ranching facts, handmade quilts and a turn of the century kitchen exhibit. |
