Halsey was founded in the 1870's and has not grown much; today having a poulation of just over 700 people. The area produced many tons of wheat for which Halsey was a shipping point with the Oregon and California Railroad . Today the surrounding area is a significant producer of Grass seed and has a large number of commercial plant nurseries. |
