Comments
Mill City lies in both Linn and Marion counties; however the Municipal court is located in Linn county. State Road 22 runs along the Northern part of Mill City.
About the area
Mill City can be found in Oregon’s scenic North Santiam River canyon. The city was named after a lumbering company’s mill which existed on the site; and now has a population of a little over 1500. One of the interesting features in town is the old railroad bridge across the North Santiam River. The Southern Pacific Company (railroad) gave the bridge to the city when it abandoned the Mill City branch. No longer used for railway traffic; it is now decked over for a footpath. North Santiam State Park is located 4 miles West of Mill City. The park is limited to day use; but is a wonderful place to enjoy a picnic lunch and walk the hiking trails.
Judges
