US Highway 730 runs through the Northern portion of Irrigon. Although Interstate Highway 84 is some distance to the South of the court; the court has jurisdiction over traffic violations on IS 84 in Morrow county. |

About the area |
Lthough the Irrigon post office was established at the beginning of the 20th century; Irrigon is a Johhny-Come-Lately as a formal city entity having reached incorporation in 1957. At one point in its history a large amount of irrigation was created to tracts of tillable land for various agricultural pursuits. Irrigon Marina park is located on the shores of Lake Umatilla. The park is the site of the Irrigon Watermelon festival every July. The festival includes a parade, all day live entertainment, kids games and a street dance with a light revue.
