About the area |
The city of Manzanita has a population of less than 1000 people but is located in a beautiful setting on the Pacific Ocean. Neah-Kah-Nie Mountain offers visitors a spectacular panoramic view of the Northern Oregon Coast and the Pacific Ocean. Manzanita beach stretches out to the South from the mountain and Short Sands beach to the North. Manzanita is fortunate to be located between two state parks. Nehalem Bay State Park to the South of town, has great recreational facilities with large campgrounds, a horse camp with corrals, an air strip with fly-in camping, and a hiker-biker camp. Oswald West State park, to the North has several trails which lead to the beach and to the Cape Falcon overlook or to the Oregon Coast Trail. |
