The Island City Justice Court is officially known as the Union County Justice Court. The court serves all of Union County, except any territory excluded by statute. State Road 82 and 237 intersect in the Northern part of Island City and Interstare Highway 84 is nearby to the West. |
| About the area |
Island City is located on an island about eight miles long and from a mile to a half-mile in width and has a population of under 1000. Commercial activity began with the erection of a grist mill in the second half of the 19th century and soon afterward Island City was designated a post office. However the city already had a school. |
