Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve is a 725-acre wildlife preserve located at the Southern end of Hillsboro, Oregon. The Preserve has a wetlands education center with a wildlife observation deck, an interactive learning center and several miles of hiking trails through different types of gardens. Don't be surprised if you see bald eagles, ospreys, pheasants, kingfishers, swallows and woodpeckers here.
Most of Hillsboro's commercial industry is located in park like industrial campus settings intended to blend in with the countryside. Companies such as Intel, Planar Systems, FEI as well other companies offer employment to many of the areas residents. Don't forget to visit the country wineries in the Hillsboro area where you can sample such vineyard specialities such as Pinot noir, Pinot gris, Niagara wines and Frambosia. |
