| About the area |
Lafayette was founded in the middle of the 19th century. Although the original growth of Lafayette was due in large part to the discover of gold in California; at the end of the 20th century, because of the beautiful farm country around the city the wine industry prospered. While you are in Lafayette; lie on the grass, look at the clouds and dream in a wonderful place called Terry Park along the riverfront.
