This Court went a year without having a full-time judge! Then it became a heated battle between three high-ranking police officers. Police Chief Joe Pero refused to endorse anyone! That would have made it even more awkward when all three run into each other during future cases. Anyway, former Detective Capt. Eugene Riazzi was the victor in May 2007. Of the three candidates, he had the most experience in law, having served for 30 years. Now he seeks to crack down on truancy, while promoting higher education programs, namely for police officers. No surprise there! |
