About the area |
This community was named after Asa Lansfor Foster a few year after its settlement in the 1840's And it's a territory of an irregular topography, great landscapes and good men. This community was the home of a very large Slovak settlement back in the 19th century, which left a very strong influence on the local cuisine. This land is located less than 5 miles away from the communities of Summit Hill, Coaldale, and Nesquehoning. |
