Named after Thomas Dickson, who was a successful and pragmatic business man and head of the Delaware and Hudson Canal Company; this community is the home of more than 6000 people and it has been the scenario for an episode of "The Office". The Mid Valley School District is the entity in charge of the education and supervision of the teaching standards of Dickson City, along with Johnson College which is the closest education institution to the heart of Dickson.
