The authorities of Manheim are very green conscious, recently their conservation efforts were awarded with the Waste Watcher Award of Outstanding Composting Achievement which is a true example of how we should take care of Mother Nature. This land which used to be a "simple path" for those on their way to Rapho Township, became an incorporated city to the County of Lancaster back in the 1800's; today it has more than 4700 inhabitants and a bit less than 1.5 square miles of territory.
