The Upper Merion Township is the proud mother of the unincorporated community of King of Prussia, "painted" by the delicate fingers of Janet Rees, guided by the vision of William Rees who trusted in this land his savings when building the first Inn of this territory. The stones placed by the Rees' started this snow ball rolling, then the Berry's Tavern, the US Highway 202, and finally the raising of suburbs. The cities of West Norriton and Trooper were some of the witnesses who "enjoyed" the arrival of this big snow flake.
Valley Forge is to the west, famed perhaps for some wintry stay by the man who became our first president. Something like that anyway. |
