Oct 30 2011 01:17:23: red light camera at levick and roosevelt may snap prior to entering intersection. i saw flash as i stopped at crosswalk lines. it is new and needs to be properly calibrated. i took phone photo stopped in intersection and emailed it to confirm stop. beware light is not right.
Oct 26 2011 01:21:40: Issues with a clerical error...I've never been in Philly and I am getting a lot of run-arounds. After yelling and arguing this is what I have: 1671 is for the sheriffs department. They are useless and only give you 1674, 1675, 1676 and 1677 which all are the same machine. 1673 got me somewhere (after calling a few times). Also, if you need a fax number, this is what I got 215-686-1655. Wish me luck and best of luck to you all.
Oct 18 2011 05:07:28: the number is 215-686-1674
Jun 06 2011 09:43:54: This is really crazy..was in an accident...can't make it to court on 6/6/2011. How do they expect for u to reshedule if something jappens to you within the 48 hour time frame, also there should be a number in case of emergency for you to call in situations like this..and you should be issued a confrimation number, or a number where you can fax documents too, this sytem sucks...no wonder people don't show up, and move out out Philadelphia, for our system sucks..it has to get better.
May 04 2011 23:37:22: Call 215-686-1673 person answered right away and was very helpful. Answered my questions instantly and was very informative.

Feb 10 2011 00:46:52: Call 215-686-1673, or just call around 1675 still using 1671, 1672, 1673, etc, then u can talk 2 a person! I had a helpful person on 1673! Try it and good luck!
Jan 09 2011 02:57:28: Whatever you do, don't patronize Philadelphia, it is a communism, at least the police there are and the court system. As someone previously stated, it is illegal to proceed through a yellow light, after defending this country for 21 years, I had my license revoked for going through a yellow light, and the Judge was a complete JERK, he never heard a word I said, how can it be a hearing if he can't hear.
Nov 16 2010 12:41:57: They are the ABSOLUTE worst!!! I can't pay ticket, or get through to anyone. Typical. Philly is never on the ball.
Apr 10 2010 02:14:22: 215-686-1673 very helpful gentleman answered question
Mar 13 2010 03:37:11: 3/12/2010 the number I used to get thru is (215)686-1570
Nov 07 2009 01:50:50: A terrible court. A complete violation of due process rights. You have to prove a defendant committed a traffic violation. The judge cannot simply read ticket and say guilty. I am an attorney who was recently in traffic court and was very upset to see how so many individuals due process rights are violated. You have to prove speeding, show devices were approved by the department of transportation, that devices were tested and validated, etc. This court did not want or due any of this. I surely hope someone looks into this process.
Aug 15 2009 21:57:24: I have a court date set for wednesday. I am in the hospital toresdale in the north east.
Jul 28 2009 23:23:31: Man this fucking City is all about a hustle... Mayor nutter is a Asshole..He has the correct name a nut....And that freaking number you cannot get thru on so wasting your time...Just take your Ass down there...
Jun 02 2009 10:38:22: Oh I forgot. It is illegal in the county of Philadelphia to proceed through a yellow light. The baliff will announce that in court.
Jun 02 2009 10:34:55: How to deal with traffic tickets in Philly: 1. You have to plead not-guilty in person at the counter within ten days of receiving the ticket or they will add a $25 administrative fee and allow you to mail in your plea and they haven't complained to me about not sending any collateral or ask for it at the counter. 2. The only way they will respond to you outside the court is by email at tcsupport@courts.phila.gov only and that link is the first support link on their website. You will get a brief response to your question the same or the next business day so make sure you send them your name, address, license number and ticket number if possible when you write them and use complete clear plain english sentences. 3. When you go to court it is important you understand rule #1: They do not care what you have to say but they will smile telling you that. They already know what you should bring with you if needed to beat the ticket (insurance, reg, etc) and the bailiff will make you an offer on the spot to downgrade the points. My non-lawyer advice is to take the deal because this is the best deal you'll get if your guilty if you think the officers don't care the judge won't care even less. You will find posted in one of the rooms all the violation numbers and the approved plea laws you can downgrade to without an issue. The trick is that if you have points coming to plea down to a 111A, some law that says you didn't observe a traffic control device while riding a bicycle or something ridiculous to not get any points. Your tickets may be different so don't expect any breaks for dui's, no insurance, or anything serious like that. 4. After they chukle it up between themselves and fine you you'll be directed to go to a payment room where you will wait a long time to process your payment plan then you leave. Remember that when you in the payment room the people there will only know what the judge wrote down. If the judge tells you something and they don't know about it, and you say that the judge did, they will not care and be prepared for a fight. The only resolution i've seen for myself and others is when other people around you admit they witnessed the judge say what you are telling them. I mention this as I see it happen quite a few times including myself. If you tell them you can't wait they will rip up your paperwork and it will be as if you were never there. Someone once asked the baliff what form of payment the court will take and he said cash, credit, debit, your house, blood and your firstborn that if you have it they will take it. If you miss a payment and get knocked off your plan you'll know for sure that your in default because not even the website will accept your payment plan number - don't ever lose that number the only way to get it back is by email or showing up again in person for it. If you are in default you will go to a different room where someone sits at a desk who will not introduce himself nor tell you that he is the adjudicator for your case. Even if your sick and in the hospital they will not care that you paid late then he will increase your monthly payments with a new payment plan and threaten you with all kinds of penaties and will not allow you to get on another payment plan if you default again. The last advice I can give you is when you appear in person to bring a photocopy of your license with you because if you don't you will pay $1 in four quarters for one and nobody will have change of a dollar for you except the hot dog truck outside for a smudged copy which incredibly they will accept from you. This is all i know about my experiences with the Philadelphia Traffic Court, whose correct web address is: http://courts.phila.gov/traffic/ Thank you and good luck.

May 04 2009 22:16:08: Very useful, tried 12156861673 and got someone who answered my question. The person told me I did not have to appear and it was my choice. It seems these numbers are the courts dirty secrets and the people that have to answer are not happy when you call it, so expect a rude answer.

Feb 25 2009 02:50:22: This is not an efficient site for individuals attempting to maintain contact for monthly payment schedules. Ther are no drop downs to direct you. I sure hope that my tax payer monies didn't pay for the this or the " make more money "advertisments listed on the page. This is a hot mess. Please remove and allow persons trying to me their payment obligations to use the old WORKING web site. This is just another example of how our city government wate money or gives it to some "friend " to come up with this sillyness<br>Editor: This is not the official site for any court. It's a privately-owned directory of courts.
Feb 12 2009 05:49:58: 2009-01-21. A Philadelphia Police Officers issued me a traffic citation. Acutally I went through a yellow caution light that turned red. Three cars went through the same yellow caution light and I was the only car stopped. I beleive it was unfair treatment. If you stop one person you should stop the others. This was Inauguration night and our spirits where high while we listens to channel 6 news on the radio. I answered all of his questions politely. Then he asked for my license, owners card and insurance which I handed to him. He kept my sister and I waiting in the car for 25 minutes and handed me a $118.00 ticket and I had no other citations before then. He stood in the back of my car looking at my license plates and the sticker that was there. All of my documents were in order and he intentionally acted like a jerk. Prejudice still prevail in Philadelphia. WATCH OUT PHILLY COPS ARE STILL VERY MUCH BIAS....

Mar 19 2008 23:44:00: I was concerned about a hit in run accident i was involved in, I was wondering was it possible for me to have it wiped off my license
Mar 08 2008 05:21:10: Phila. Traffic Court is a fricken pain in the butt. I have been trying to clear my license now for 7 months. You can't get through over the phone, you can't pay them on line, and I live 800 miles away. My father is terminal ill and we have his car sitting out back wasting away while we have to call my sister which lives a hour away to come help us everytime we run out of TP or water or Doctor appt. or need to go to the drug store. Phila. does not have brotherly love. What they do have is a bunch of lazy no good people who won't even answer the phone. If I wasn't in dire need of my driver's license I would tell Phila. to kiss my butt.
Mar 06 2008 23:44:23: WOW, i came to this site to get help to make payment arrangements on an outstanding ticket. Hope I don't run into the troubles the people before me wrote about. I'll be back to let you know.
Feb 19 2008 21:51:21: Pathetic system created to scam citizens. The law is out to destroy people daily livelihood.. appauling and disgusting city!!!
Feb 12 2008 06:14:42: I think that traffic vilolations and court is just to make money from the people.
Feb 04 2008 22:06:52: yeah..the number and website is useless. I attempted to be a good citizen and pay my ticket online, but my ticket number came up invalid. As a result, I tried to contact the court via phone. Unfortunetly, I only received telephone prompts which did not have any helpful information. Then when I thought there was light at the end of the tunnel, I was suppose to be transfered to the officier who handles such tickets...I was then hung up on...I tried two more time to which the phone had a busy signal...ahhh no wonder Philly's reputation is going down the tubes.
Jan 28 2008 12:19:08: i have been trying to pay my traffic tickets on courts.phila.gov and it says the page can not be found and now my payment is going to be late all because this city can not keep their website up and running. what can i do
Jan 26 2008 23:31:57: I have been trying to get my license cleared up since August of '07. They suspended my license in July for a ticket that I was unaware of from 1988. The fines were paid in full and here it is almost 5 mths. later and it is still not fixed. I am in NC and cannot drive in Philadelphia.
Jan 26 2008 04:38:47: The number given is useless. I can never get through and I reside outside of Philadelphia and what i need is very important. Is there another number to call? If so please post it on the site. This is ridiculous.
Jan 19 2008 01:33:47: Is it funny of fishy?, it seems that some of Philadelphia police officers are targeting taxi drivers, call it profiling if you will, but it is so obvious, I wonder if the judges are noticing the trend. Some officers slap arguable citations to taxi drivers, taxi drivers are vulnerable. Is this truly survival of the fittest theory? Is it burly versus puny? I hope the good Cops realize that bad Cops are ruining their reputation. I sure hope the new top Cop realize bullying honest hard workers is not constitutional. I must add that stereotyping is old fashion, most of the taxi drivers are well educated, some with MBA and PhDs, don't be surprised this is true. I have never heard of a taxi driver that committed crime, did you? then why are they being singled out? I am sure that we can forgive and accept the little innocent accent or the obvious different looks, can't we? Please dear officer take it easy on the poor guys. Just to add the icing on the cake, I met a taxi driver that served in Iraq! call me crazy but he sure was protecting and fighting for our country, there are good citizens among them lets not spoil the great diversity that built our beautiful country.
Jan 09 2008 03:44:01: i need a payoff and can not get thru onthe phone # of 215-686-1675
