Rich soil of the Appalachian Plateaus physiographic province is one of the blessings of this big community in Pennsylvania State, home of more than 6500 residents and 452 square miles of extension. Laporte is the county seat of Sullivan County and it is also the home of approximately 300 people. The northern border of this territory is represented by Bradford County, the southern limit is given by the lands of Luzerne and Columbia Counties, the arm of Wyoming County constitutes the eastern border, and finally the western border is provided by Lycoming County territories. The people from this area enjoy the beauty and nature of the Ricketts Glen State Park and Worlds End State Park, where families get together to cherish a wonderful time.
