Named after a small town in Kent (England), this community in York-Hanover metro area is residence of more than 1800 people. This city was incorporated back in the 1860's, sharing limits with Weigelstown, Shiloh, and Wellsville. This territory was the home of the avid discussion of the "Intelligent Design", in which Evolution became the center of an intellectual-legal-religious struggle. This very interesting event took place back in 2004 and it's today a sensitive subject on several universities country-wide, and maybe even in the presidential election.
