About the area

Large amounts of Iron was discovered in Blackburg so the city was called Iron City also. Hundreds of people came here to settle in the hope of making a fortune and they did. Steel and iron are the future of any country. Because of the fast mining and development here this one of the first towns to have a street light in South Carolina. I 85 and US 29 are the two major routes connecting the city.
