About the area |
Yemassee is actually a part of an island. It is also a port. The city is very popular for shrimp farming and the worldwide exports are centered here. Most of the people here derive their livelihood from shrimps. They also have an annual shrimp festival and fair. However stinky it can be there are other things to do during the festival. |
