The Watauga River is an action oriented place as several rafters come here to have fun. Other popular activities are canoeing, fishing and kayaking. Also it is the Trout capital of the region and attracts several fishermen. The Wilbur Lake and Dam a little further ahead is also a nice area to spend time. Though there are not much adventure sports, you can go for a swim if the water is not ice cold. |
