About the area |
The Sumner County Museum has several Indian Artifacts that were collected from Cavern. These artifacts are older than the United States of America itself. There were several Indian tribes like Cherokee, Shawnee, Chickasaw and Iroquois. Every Indian tribe hunted only until a certain period of time during the year and such was the understanding among the tribes. For example the Shawnees hunted here only until the Dogwoods bloomed. Only a museum can show and tell you such interesting facts and that is the reason why you should visit one. |
