About the area |
The Cumberland Caverns is the biggest cave and living museum of Tennessee. It is a living museum because several things used by prehistoric people and Indians have been preserved within the caverns like the places they used to cook and sleeping berths and so on. There are walking tours of the caverns organized. The guided tours show you the saltpeter artifacts and a gleaming pool within the cave along with the waterfalls. The god of the mountain sound and light pageant is also held here. |
