Named after Peter James Bailey, this land is served by Muleshoe as its county seat and it is one of the dry counties of Texas State. The U.S. Highway 70 and 64 are two of the most important communication branches in the homeland of the Muleshoe National Wildlife Refuge and the Muleshoe Heritage Center. White Non Hispanic, African American, Native American, Asian, Hispanic, and other racial groups are part of the racial makeup present in Bailey County, where demographic researches have found more than 2340 households and close to 1800 families residing in this region.
