About the area |
Lovely trees, unique architecture, and country roads are some of the elements of this community in Texas State located in the big AustinâRound Rock metro area and home of more than 5340 people with a population density of more than 730 inhabitants per square mile. This territory was the homeland of several Spanish soldiers back in the early years of the 19th century and witnessed the publication of the first edition of The Bastrop Advertiser and County News in the 1850s. When visiting this land served by the Bastrop Independent School District, do not miss the chance to visit the Lake Bastrop reservoir founded since the 1960s and the local restaurants for a traditional Texan meal. |
