Elgin Justice of Peace

Known as the "Sausage Capital of Texas" and also as the “Brick Capital of the Southwest”, this city in the Austin-Round Rock metro area is located approximately 24 miles away from Round Rock and 26 miles away from Austin. More than 1/10 of the population residing in this community reports German ancestry, while 7% reports Irish ancestry in a land where Hispanic, African American, White Non Hispanic, American Indian, and other races have merged in harmony in a racial makeup of more than races and traditions; but also of feelings, hopes, goals, and beliefs. With almost 5 square miles of extension and a population density of 2090 people per square mile; Elgin is a very blessed municipality where the construction, educational services, and public administration industries are the most important employers.
