Named after W.J. Boston, who was a store keeper; this city in Bowie County is a proud puzzle piece of the Texarkana metro area. Known for its Pioneer Days Festival and Rodeo, the county seat of Bowie is definaitely full of color and history that would fulfill the hearts of its visitors as much as it shines in the souls of its residents. With a total extension of 3.5 square miles of territory elevated almost 360 feet above sea level, it is home to more than 4800 people with an extensive racial makeup of White Non Hispanic, African American, Native American, Asian, Latino, and other racial groups.
