About the area |
Known as the "Kolache Capital of Texas", this community serves as the county seat of Burleson County and it is served by the Caldwell Independent School District. Named after Matthew "Old Paint" Caldwell, this municipality has a very extensive Irish ancestry reflected on its Kolache Festival celebrated during the first days of September. The total area of 3.4 square miles of extension elevated more than 380 feet above sea level has plenty of notable locations worth to visit such as the Czech Heritage Museum, the Reeves-Womack House, and Somerville Lake. |
