About the area |
Fort Anahuac Park sits near the mouth of the Trinity river to Galveston Bay. The fort was built in the early 1800's by Texan prisioners of Mexico, later it was taken over by the Texans during the Texan Revolution. If you visit it today you will find picnic areas, camping and boat ramps. |
