This lovely county in Texas State was named after the Guadalupe River and it is served by Secuin city as its county seat; which has an estimated population of more than 22000 residents and it was established in the late 1830s by Mathew Caldwell's Gonzales Rangers. The racial makeup in this land is very rich, presenting more than 70% of White Non Hispanic residents, close to 30% of Hispanic, and minorities of African American, Native American, Asian, Pacific Islander, and other racial groups. Preserving the environment is a very clear and standard goal for the inhabitants of Guadalupe, proof of that are the reservoirs located in this zone including Rose Lake, Soil Conservation Service Site 12 Reservoir, and Lake Placid.
