About the area |
This son of Texas was named for Mirabeau B. Lamar, president of the Republic of Texas. Situated between Choctaw (OK), Red River, Delta, Fannin, and Bryan (OK) Counties; this community is connected by the US Highway 82, US Highway 271, and State Highway 19. Established in the 1840s, this land has a total extension of 932 square miles and it is home for more than 48500 inhabitants according to the latest census. |
