Canyon is the county seat of this community named for Horace Randal and connected by Interstate 20, US Highway 60, US Highway 87, and Loop 335. Established in the 1870s, this land of more than 920 square miles of extension is framed by Potter, Castro, Deaf Smith, Armstrong, and Swisher Counties territories. Home of the Buffalo Lake National Wildlife Refuge, this territory has a population density over 110 people per square mile with a racial makeup of White Non Hispanic, Latino, African American, Asian, and other racial groups.
