About the area

In the Texas panhandle, you will find the community of Happy which was once referenced in a commercial as “The Town without a Frown.” A movie by the name of “Happy, Texas” was named and inpired for the town but the film was not shot there. And there is one more link this community has to the entertainment industry: the character of George Avila on the television show 24 was from Happy. This makes for quite a bit of notoriety for a community of only 640 people residing on a territory of more than 1 square mile of land.
