About the area |
Nested between Archer, Baylor, Jackson (OK), Tillman (OK), Foard, Hardeman, and Wichita; this community father of Vernon and Lockett was named for Josiah P. and Mathias Wilbarger (settlers). Part of the Vernon metro area, this land of more than 970 square miles of extension was born in the late 1850s. When you come to this territory, you may easily take any of the four major highways serving this corner of America full of interesting spots such as Zacaweista Ranch, Iron Pens, Hart Camp, Santa Rosa Roundup Rodeo Grounds, Mount Zion Church, and D's Camp. |
