Bountiful owes its start to a settler's move of his cattle to a location North of Salt Lake city for winter grazing. He and his family were soon followed by others leading to the establishment of tradesmen and craftsmen shops and the manufacture of goods for the new residents. Among the treasures in this city are the Bountiful Davis Arts center and the Bountiful Historical Museum. The arts center offers classes in the arts, theater and yoga as well as putting on theatrical performances. The museum in addition to maintaining the Stoker school and Willey cabin; has exhibits including a photo gallery of photos of early Bountiful, the city as it grew and present day Bountiful. Within Bountiful's 15 parks there are facilities such as picnic tables, grills, boweries (pavilions), baseball and softball diamonds, soccer fields, playgrounds, jogging trails, tennis and volleyball and basketball courts and horseshoe pits.
