North Salt Lake Justice Court

This court is in session (with judge present) Tuesdays from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. and 1:00 to 5:00 P.M.. US 89 runs through the center of North Salt Lake then to the South runs alongside IS 15 which is at the Western edge of town. Is 215 comes from the Southwest corner.

Until 1930 most homes and businesses were located South of SR 89 with about 65 homes North of the highway. When a developer around 1946 was to build homes North of the highway; he purchased water rights from the springs which supplied water to those homes which were South of the highway. The homeowners below the highway believed that this would limit their water usage and formed a committee to petition the county to form a town. This was granted for incorporation. Among the many parks in this city there is the City Hall amphitheater and the Orchard Community garden. The garden is a number of plots which may be rented by residents to plant either flowers or agricultural items. The North Salt Lake Acts project together with other groups presents theatrical productions at the amphitheater. In conjunction with the city's annual Easter Egg hunt a Kite festival is held at Hatch park at the end of March.
